Yes, more into the book the characters change. The majority of the characters change but all in a good way. The characters realize how life really is and you should always life up to expectations; like Meg she is more mature now and realizes that you should not be living like this. Something I learned from the book is that life will come and go and you should just move on. I also learned that everyone comes from different backgrounds and you should take them as they are. Lots of guys don't know what they want when there in High School, they will just mess around with girls to get what they want, but in reality its bad.
